Zelna Catering Services

For many years Zelna Damons was making koeksusters and baking biscuits from her home. Via the GM Foundation, she heard about the Siya Sebenza course and subsequently completed it last year. She went on to do the “Business Fast-track Programme”. Since then her business has exploded! She caters regularly at a corporate level providing full meals and finger lunches. By March 2010, she had 60 functions planned for the year! Thanks to Fast-Track, she understands how to effectively manage the financial and accounting side of her business.

Carries Driving School Dorothy Tobias and Vaughn Hofsta completed the Siya Sebenza course early in 2009. Trading as Carries Driving School, they now run 2 cars and are busy training learners by means of a computerized programme and provide training for Code 8 licenses. They plan to offer Code 10 soon.

Chakanaka Paveline started a small sewing business operating out of her shack in 2008. In 2009 she completed both the Siya Sebenza programme and Fast-Track. She has found office accommodation and is now well established in her business, both designing and making clothes, table cloths, table mats, curtains and duvet sets.
