Siya Sebenza was launched out of a vision to help the poor and to break the chains of injustice. We initially started with 6 people in our first workshop and have not looked back since. With virtually no marketing, every week we have people streaming in.

This is critical to us as we believe that if "word-of-mouth" is successful in terms of people finding employment and helping themselves, then we are achieving what we set out to do which is to make a difference in the lives of the poor - people who perhaps do not have the knowledge, the networking ability or the drive to be gainfully employed.

Siya Sebenza's founder, Ena Richards is passionate about job creation and entrepreneurship. She has a B.Com degree in Industrial Psychology and Law and an Honours degree in Psychology. She has run her own Marketing business for 7 years prior to starting a family and has started a training business to support the Non-Profit organization.

   

To stay true to our vision, we always ask the question: "What do unemployed people need?"

Our aim is to prepare people for the marketplace; to instill in them the knowledge that they have POWER over their futures and that no matter how hopeless their situation may seem, THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE…..
