Africa is a continent rich in resources,
yet we are one of the highest recipients
of International Aid. Unfortunately poverty
is still rife. At Siya Sebenza,
while we fervently believe in the precept,
“Teach a man to fish…” we believe
that poverty will not be alleviated until
the worldview of individuals is addressed.
We believe that the following stipulations
need to be countered in any country that
is beset by poverty:
1. The Poverty Mindset – “I am poor, I will
always be poor. I cannot change”
2. The Spirit of Entitlement – “I am owed…”
3. A lack of a “Standard of Excellence”
Consequently, we do not attempt to initiate
any poverty alleviation project until we
have addressed the Poverty Worldview
by means of a core group of workshops that
address the three points mentioned above
as well as in-depth coaching as to how God
expects us to work. To achieve this, we
have established a WORK-4aLiving Centre that is made up of a training school, a Job Centre and a Business centre.
